Online e-tendering website to compile detailed tender contracts for drugs, invite private bidders to tender online, distribute tender reports.
Problem Statement
The given problem statement of our project is to develop a web app that issues tenders for pharmaceutical products online and further make the best deal.
Online Tender Management System will enable the suppliers to get all the tender details online and provide the facility to bid on particular tenders.
Objective
Tender Management software solution is an online service that helps suppliers and buyers to interact with each other to achieve prominent efficiency in all aspects of a tendering process. Whether it is complex tendering or a simple process, Tender Management helps an organization in executing an effective e-procurement strategy and makes tendering function hassle-free.
The web application provides an interface between medicine manufacturers and hospital officials through an online link.
Modular Design
There are two main modules Hospital and Manufacturer module:
- Admin or Hospital module: Admin can upload tenders-related information to the website and delete old tender details. She can update the latest data on the website. The basic functionalities that hospital officials get are issuing, deleting, editing, viewing history, and selecting the final bid for the tender.
- Manufacturer module: The user who registers with the application will get a unique username and password to look after available tenders and download related files and apply for tenders and can bid tenders online. Manufacturers on the other hand have functionalities such as the bid for tenders, view tenders, etc. Apart from these other options include getting notifications and updating your account.

What did we learn as a team?
It was a team project as part of the Cognizant Student Club. In the journey of completing the project, we learned about the importance of time management, strategic planning, and understanding each other's opinions.
Future work
What is the future scope of the project?
In the future, we plan to add more functionalities. These will include the following:
- In the future government records will be taken into the website for the company's identity and safety.
- To enhance the scope of the site globally.
- The use of better communication processes with end-users will get in the future.
Conclusion
How did it go?
The main purpose of the “Online Tendering System” is to provide all tender documents about the medicine online which can be accessed by all the suppliers using their id and password. Suppliers will be able to act on more than one tender through this online system. Eliminating the need of sending and receiving the documents by post, so the immediate response can be taken for the current existing tender.
